Introduction

We are happy to announce our program! We've done our best to clean up our known issues and now would like to request your help to spot the ones we missed!

Please find below the list and documentation of our services and products included in the scope of this program:

Compute

  • Instances - Virtual machines running on the Exoscale managed KVM hypervisor platform
  • Containers - Container running on the Exoscale managed Scalable Kubernetes Service (SKS)

Storage

  • Block storage - A network attachable, scalable block storage service
  • Object storage - An S3 compatible, cloud native object storage service

Networking

  • IP - Every instance comes with an included public IPv4 and IPv6 address
  • EIP - Additional IP addresses for your instances, with optional health check support
  • NLB - A fast and reliable Layer 4 Network Load Balancer
  • DNS - DNS zones management
  • Security groups - Layer 2 and Layer 3 firewalling for your instances
  • Private Network - Secure Private Network for your instances with an optional DHCP server

DBaaS

Note on DBaaS: our DBaaS service is offered in partnership with Aiven. If the issue reported lies on the Exoscale side of the service, we will happily accept and reward valid findings. If the issue lies on the Aiven side, we do not guarantee the reward of bounties, but we will engage discussions with them (they also have a public bug bounty program).

Out of scope

Customers' accounts, resources and infrastructures are out of scope. Please keep in mind that Exoscale is a public cloud provider. Do not attempt to attack any resource that may be owned by an Exoscale customer.

Exoscale owns different ranges of public IP addresses (AS61098 – Akenes SA). Most of them would be allocated to Exoscale customers. Please be mindful of this during your reconnaissance activities and at all time during your testing activities. Again, do not attempt to attack services or resources that belong to Exoscale customers.

The following products are out of scope:

Private connect

Domains

  • Any domain that is not listed in the Domains section, is out of scope for this program

Application

  • Wordpress usernames disclosure
  • Pre-Auth Account takeover/OAuth squatting
  • Self-XSS that can't be used to exploit other users
  • Verbose messages/files/directory listings without disclosing any sensitive information
  • CORS misconfiguration on non-sensitive endpoints
  • Missing cookie flags
  • Missing security headers
  • Cross-site Request Forgery with no or low impact
  • Presence of autocomplete attribute on web forms
  • Reverse tabnabbing
  • Bypassing rate-limits or the non-existence of rate-limits.
  • Best practices violations (password complexity, expiration, re-use, etc.)
  • Clickjacking without proven impact/unrealistic user interaction
  • CSV Injection
  • Sessions not being invalidated (logout, enabling 2FA, etc.)
  • Tokens leaked to third parties
  • Anything related to email spoofing, SPF, DMARC or DKIM
  • Content injection without being able to modify the HTML
  • Username/email enumeration
  • Email bombing
  • HTTP Request smuggling without any proven impact
  • Homograph attacks
  • XMLRPC enabled
  • Banner grabbing/Version disclosure
  • Not stripping metadata of files
  • Same-site scripting
  • Subdomain takeover without taking over the subdomain
  • Arbitrary file upload without proof of the existence of the uploaded file
  • Blind SSRF without proven business impact (pingbacks aren't sufficient)
  • Disclosed/misconfigured Google Maps API keys
  • Host header injection without proven business impact

General

  • In case that a reported vulnerability was already known to the company from their own tests, it will be flagged as a duplicate
  • Theoretical security issues with no realistic exploit scenario(s) or attack surfaces, or issues that would require complex end user interactions to be exploited
  • Spam, social engineering and physical intrusion
  • DoS/DDoS attacks or brute force attacks
  • Vulnerabilities that only work on software that no longer receive security updates
  • Attacks requiring physical access to a victim's computer/device, man in the middle or compromised user accounts
  • Recently discovered zero-day vulnerabilities found in in-scope assets within 14 days after the public release of a patch or mitigation may be reported, but are usually not eligible for a bounty
  • Reports that state that software is out of date/vulnerable without a proof-of-concept
  • Vulnerabilities that only results in inconsequential losses for Exoscale (under USD 500, ex: resources or coupon limit bypass)
  • Rate Limiting issues (for example on forms) unless the researcher can demonstrate a strong security impact

Know issues

  • Quota bypass (01.10.2025) - some resource deployments are limited by a quota mechanism. There exist known ways to bypass such quota, which is out of scope.
Severity assessment

This program follows Intigriti's triage standards based on the proof of concept.

FAQ

Where can I get credentials?

You can use the get credentials button in the right top corner to request credentials that are ready to use! Feel free to reach out to support if you have any issue with these credentials or if you are running out of test credit.

How can I create a test account?

You can self-register on the application following the instructions obtained with the credentials. Please don’t forget to use your @intigriti.me address. Should you want to create multiple test accounts, we would encourage you to use the "+" sign to create sub-email addresses. For example, if your email address is johndoe@intigriti.me, you can create different accounts using johndoe+1@intigriti.me, johndoe+2@intigriti.me, etc.

Can I create accounts with different roles and privileges?

Yes. Once your organisation is created, you will have the possibility to fully manage the roles and privileges of the users in your organisation using our IAM features.

All aboard!
Please log in or sign up on the platform

For obvious reasons we can only allow submissions or applications for our program with a valid Intigriti account.

It will only take 2 minutes to create a new one or even less to log in with an existing account, so don't hesitate and let's get started. We would be thrilled to have you as part of our community.
